LIE (ENTj) Vulnerable Si

In general, vulnerable Introverted Sensing (Si) leaves a distinct, often paradoxical mark on this personality type.

Health and the "Strong Spirit" Mechanism

Vulnerable Si involves physical well-being and internal sensations. Through their creative Introverted Intuition (Ni), a LIE can postpone health concerns: "now is not the time to see a doctor," "the conditions aren't right yet," or "there are much more important things to do; I’ll have time for that later."

This is fueled by their Activating Extraverted Sensing (Se), which gives them a "strong spirit" conviction that they can endure any discomfort. Because LIEs often distrust doctors, they try to master health topics themselves. However, this often manifests in "quirks"—for example: a LIE I know bought a terribly smelling "cure-all" ointment on one of his trips abroad and advised everyone to use it for literally any ailment.

Domestic Life: Between Chaos and Antibacterial War

LIE’s relationship with his environment is a study in extremes. On one hand, they may enter a state of "deep ignore," where their home turns into an indescribable mess. On the other hand, they can become obsessed with hygiene, viewing cleaning as a large-scale campaign against bacteria.

This leads to "handwashing quirks": washing a towel after a single use or believing that only antibacterial soap counts as "real" soap. To manage this conflict, they may adopt original solutions, such as outsourcing cleaning entirely to professionals or, as in one case, even opening a chain of dry cleaners.

Nutrition: Technical Precision and Efficiency

In the kitchen, LIEs prioritize efficiency and clarity. They favor "American-style" dining—sandwiches, burgers, salads, and simple meals—because they are quick to eat and the ingredients are clearly visible.

While they are excellent at following technical instructions to the letter, their vulnerable Si adds strange, rigid rules to the process. For instance, a LIE might insist that soup is "wrong" and inedible if the dill in it is a twig rather than a leaf.

Ultimately, they view cooking as a task to be solved quickly (using semi-finished or frozen foods) so that no time is wasted.

Social Paradoxes: Bluntness and Squeamishness

The combination of vulnerable Si and activating Se often results in a lack of a "social filter" regarding physical appearance or sex. LIEs might make inappropriate jokes about a colleague’s body or tell a friend they look fat, often without realizing it causes embarrassment.

Paradoxically, while LIEs are typically very fastidious and squeamish (their "antibacterial" side), they can also be extremely reckless. This creates a strange contradiction where a person might engage in high-risk behaviors, such as visiting sex workers, which seems to clash with their inherent squeamishness.
