SEI and their Food Cravings

Once, I was given a voucher to a sanatorium at work, so I went there to relax. My roommate turned out to be a smiling, pleasant-looking young woman who made a good impression. But she was a bit unlucky — on the second day, she sprained her leg and ended up stuck in the room. A day passed, and when I came back from my treatments, I found quite a scene: my roommate had a pained expression, looked all wound up... When I asked, "What happened?" she replied that she was feeling awful, her leg was driving her crazy, and if she didn’t get some "walnut in chocolate" candies, a good cup of coffee, and a cigarette of a specific brand right away, things would get much worse for her.

Her complaints seemed rather strange to me, but I literally ran to the store. They didn’t have those exact candies, so I bought a different kind. I rushed back — and there she was, already sitting by the door waiting. She saw the candies I brought and said, "I don’t want these!" But she drank the coffee with trembling hands. Thankfully, the store had the exact cigarettes she needed.

Twenty minutes later, she was a different person — smiling, kind, calm... "You saved me," she told me. At the time, of course, I had no idea what had just happened.
