Nadezhda S. (2) (ILE) about arguments
I don’t know if I can be called stubborn. If someone explains and I understand that I’m wrong, I won’t cling to my belief out of principle. Sometimes I can just believe when I’m unsure, and I consider the person knowledgeable on the matter. If someone simply opposes their opinion to mine, I’ll stick to mine. To avoid offending me when defending my opinion, it’s enough to express theirs in a friendly tone while leaving me the right to my own opinion. The thing is, I don’t always show this. I won’t try to prove something that someone stubbornly denies just for the sake of proving it. In general, I believe arguing is useless—a person will stick to their opinion anyway, and it will ruin the relationship.
