Elena M. (ILE) about mood and performance

Mood is an unstable thing in general. If it suddenly sours for some reason, you immediately stop wanting anything; you lose the desire to go for a walk, even if just moments ago you were happily getting ready to go. Everything gets blocked at once, all your motivation disappears, and you can’t work without a good mood either.

And on the contrary, if your mood suddenly becomes good, you want to do everything. And good mood can come from anything: wonderful weather, sunshine, feeling well, eating something tasty, liking how you look in the mirror, or someone smiling at you on the street. An interesting goal can also lift your mood—for example, a trip out into nature with interesting people.
